As a new offering to our graduates, we have added a Continuing Education Program consisting of Captained Charters and Bareboat Charters on our Island Packet sailing yachts to assist graduates in practicing and reinforcing skills learned in our regular training courses. This offer is not available to graduates from other schools or to the boating public in general.

Our ASA 103 graduates can, with a recommendation from their Instructor,  bareboat charter one of our Island Packet IP-32's during daylight hours and return to our home dock each afternoon before sundown. And, of course, they can sleep aboard the yacht during the term of the charter.

Our ASA 104 or higher graduates can, with a recommendation from their Instructor, bareboat charter one of our Island Packet IP-32's and sail to foreign ports in Chesapeake Bay during daylight hours and must be anchored or in a marina before sundown.

Our ASA 103 or higher graduates can captain charter one of our Island Packet IP-32's or IP-45 using one of our regular Captains and can sail day or night to foreign ports in Chesapeake Bay.

Fees are:

Yacht Charter Fee
IP-32 Bareboat $500 per day
IP-32 Captained $700 per day
IP-45 Captained $900 per day

For Bareboat charters a security deposit of $1000 is required for repair of any yacht damage incurred during charter, and will be refunded after post charter inspection less the cost of repairs.
