Chip Lohman

 

Chip Lohman is an ASA Certified Sailing Instructor and holds a USCG Inland License.  A former teacher, Chip is also an American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) Certified Electrician and Corrosion Tech and holds an Extra Class Radio License.  He began sailing in the early 80’s in San Diego, the Inner Coastal Waterway to the Carolinas and now calls the Potomac and Chesapeake his home waters.  A former Marine of 25 years, Chip became a Sales & Marketing manager for 13 years in the telecommunications industry, leaving AT&T in 2006.  He and his wife Pam sail their Ericson 32 sloop ‘Whispering Swan’ out of Quantico VA on the Potomac .  The proud parents of Genifer and Gene Lohman, so far their only grandchildren are two Yorkshire Terriers.  “I began as a teacher and, 37 years later, have returned to what I enjoy most – teaching.”
