~ A Cut Above ~

Virginia Reed, who took an ASA101 course with us in October 2019, sent the following note:

~

My primary goal was to become more confident as I improved my basic sailing skills. Captain Robin dialed our anxiety levels to zero by teaching us how to anticipate and plan for routine sailing maneuvers.  I was very impressed with Captain Robin's ability to develop our class into a cohesive group. This made communication, learning and group studying much easier. We learned each others strengths and weaknesses and could support learning in a very non-competitive manner.  Rita made the process simple. Michelle made it clear that she was available 24/7 should any problems arise.

Suggested by a friend who taught the Coast Guard Auxiliary's "Sailing Skills and Seamanship". He took his ASA courses through MD School. I then spoke with an instructor at your booth at the 2019 spring boat show in Annapolis who spent considerable time answering my questions. I live 5 miles from Annapolis based sailing schools which would be far more convenient but realized my learning experience would be superior in Rock Hall.
