Peter and Laurie Mora, who took a Docking class in September 2010, sent the following comments:

I can't say enough good things about Captain Gary Hutson and my experience with him during ASA 118 Docking class this last weekend. He accurately conveyed and reinforced the text, answered every question, and had a teaching style that accommodated the diverse learning styles of the group (there were 5 of us aboard). I have previously taken 3 ASA courses from 2 different schools, and can honestly say that Gary is second to none. Since the instructors have the majority of contact with students, they are really "the school" as far as student is concerned. He is an outstanding representative of your school; you should be proud and satisfied that he is one of yours.

I took the course with my wife, Laurie. She was nervous and somewhat dreading the class from the day she signed up for it until she completed it. Gary instantly picked up on her stress level and gave her ample encouragement and positive reinforcement. He anticipated her concerns, and coached her through the maneuvers in such a calm, informative manner that she was totally comfortable, capable, and confident by the end of the class. Captain Gary is one of a kind, outstanding instructor.
