~ A Cut Above ~

We received this note from  Geoff McClure, who with his wife Jenni, took an ASA118 Docking Course and an ASA104 Intermediate Coastal Cruising course with us in July 2014

~

Captain Jochen Hoffman went above and beyond expectations. We let him know that there was a fairly large gap between my comfort/skill level and my wife's (1st mate) so, while he did a terrific job of training all of us, he took great care to make sure my wife was comfortable with every aspect of the course as well. As we pursue the more advanced courses we will make a point of scheduling our time so we have Jochen as our instructor. He is demanding of his students, but he makes the course work both interesting and fun. It's clear he's passionate about his craft.

We chose the Maryland School of Sailing and Seamanship because the school utilizes Island Packets Yachts and we wanted training on boats similar to what we had purchased. We will continue to use the Maryland School of Sailing for our ongoing training because of the great experience we've had with everyone associated with the school and the quality of Captains/Trainers and course material.
