Sarah Grainger, who took our eight-day ASA106 DELMARVA 400 mile circumnavigation cruise in October 2018, sent the following comments ~ I was well more than satisfied with my Delmarva
Circumnavigation experience. It definitely met my expectations in all
categories. I cannot say enough good things about Captain Mummert's
knowledge, skills, and ability to teach. In his instruction he provides the
right balance of information/knowledge with hands on experience for his
students. He is always building on information provided, so that the student are
always in a position to learn and challenge themselves. He takes opportunities
for "teachable moments” and explains things clearly. He is an excellent
leader and able to teach a varied group of students with different backgrounds
and abilities. Special kudos to him for providing an excellent experience for
his students!! The staff, in particular the office staff who students deal
with most often prior to class, are always pleasant, helpful, responsive,
efficient and thorough. I chose the Maryland School because of the quality
of instructors, thorough well thought out curriculum and materials, sufficient
course time to fully understand, practice, and appreciate what is being taught.
