 B ~
For a day with absolutely no wind to be found on the water, it was still a
very positive learning experience and I reached my goal for the one day course
(to decide whether I wanted to pursue further sailing instruction). I
certainly learned enough to know that I would like to continue to sailing with
future classes.  Captain Frank Mummert was wonderful. Even with no wind,
he managed to give us a full day’s worth of valuable instruction and hands
on experience. His narrative was extremely informative and very entertaining.
I really appreciated his both willingness to share personal experiences
related to sailing and his overall teaching philosophy. His love for sailing
was very apparent, and he is a great ambassador for your school.  Rita
was great in providing information, answering questions, and helping me
schedule this course. Communication pre-course was highly professional and
thorough but also quite friendly.  The Scholarship was great overall and
I was very happy to have had the opportunity to spend the night aboard. It
helped me decide that I do want to pursue further sailing coursework.  I
initially chose the school because of the location and convenience. I liked
the one day course option. After experiencing this class I now realize how
much I like your school's philosophy and dedication to providing students with
instruction intensive enough to assure that they are well trained and
competent in boat handling.  I plan to start with the 101 course next
spring or summer and may well keep going from there. Christine Densmore, Introductory Course August 2019= |
