Hi Rita

I found the docking course immensely valuable and helpful. My only regret is that I did not take it a decade ago. The instructor [Captain Don Boccuti] was professional, highly skilled, patient, and a very likeable person – a good teacher. We did a lot of practice drills which were invaluable objective learning experiences, immediately discussed and processed by all of us to maximize the learning experience. Every aspect of the docking practice was leveraged as an educational moment – even when the wind and current defeated our initial plan of action and forced us to warp out of inconvenient situations. (Truth be told, this is the way it often happens in real life.) I can’t say that all that we were taught can be applied to my specific boating and docking challenges, but a lot will be immediately useful and applicable. It was a great course, I enjoyed every moment of it and hope to take additional courses at MDS in the future.

Best Regards
Phil Chappell
