Intermediate Coastal Cruising (ASA104): Learn extended cruise planning, equipment preparations, navigation, weather analysis, port-entry, anchoring and more while sailing to various destinations in Chesapeake Bay, Florida and the Gulf of Mexico in an Island Packet sailing yacht.. ASA104 Bareboat Certification available for students holding prerequisite ASA certs.

Advanced Coastal Cruising (ASA106): Learn advanced cruise planning, equipment preparations, navigation, weather analysis, day and night sailing round-the-clock, landfall from the sea and more while sailing in several exciting locations including New England, DELMARVA, Florida, Gulf of Mexico and the Bahamas in an Island Packet sailing yacht. ASA106 Advanced Coastal Certification available for students holding prerequisite ASA certs.

A Professional US Coast Guard Licensed Captain with ASA Instructor Certifications will skipper these training cruises. Dates listed below include a one day preparatory seminar on the boat for the entire crew that you'll be sailing with.

Chesapeake Bay 2010 (ASA104)

  • Five- day cruises originating and ending in Rock Hall, MD in Chesapeake Bay for ASA 104 Bareboat Certification.

 New England Cruises 2010 (ASA106)

  • Eight-day cruises starting in Mystic, CT; up Buzzards Bay, through the Cape Cod Canal and offshore to Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island. Second cruise returns to Mystic. Third cruise from Mystic to Rock Hall, MD on Chesapeake Bay.

DELMARVA 2010 (ASA106)

  • Eight day DELMARVA Circumnavigation: A challenging 400 mile, eight day cruise of Chesapeake Bay, Delaware Bay and the near coastal Atlantic Ocean up to 50 miles offshore for ASA 106 certification. Refer to the cruise Itinerary

Virgin Islands 2010 (ASA106)

  • Eight day circumnavigation cruise of the Virgin Islands for ASA106 certification. Planned itinerary includes a circumnavigation of the US & British Virgin Islands starting from St Thomas and rounding Anageda and Virgin Gorda then a daytime landfall at St Croix. From there west to Vieques, north to Culebra and a beat to weather back to St Thomas. This could prove to be a very challenging and exciting cruise with lots of good sailing.
